On June 24, 2010, Connersville Driver Education students awaited their turn to "drive drunk." This driving exercise--supervised by the Richmond Sheriff's department--allows students a chance to experience what it is like to get behind the wheel of a golf cart with special goggles that simulate visually impared driving. While wearing these goggles, students then have to maneuver through a course of orange cones without knocking any over. Each student drives with a member of the sheriff's department. |
